Haywood House

About Haywood House

The Newton Housing Authority (NHA) has completed the construction of Haywood House, an affordable housing development for seniors through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. This development will help address the need for affordable and accessible multifamily rental housing for low and moderate-income seniors in Newton and includes 55 one-bedroom units, as well as new fitness and laundry facilities, and community social services space.

Haywood House is named in honor of Reverend Howard Haywood, a beloved member of the Newton Community and the NHA family, who served on the NHA Board of Commissioners for 10 years and was a fierce advocate for affordable housing and social justice.

If you have any questions regarding Haywood House or would like more information, please email haywoodhouseinfo@newtonhousing.org.
