Vincent O'Donnell

Chairman - Mayor's Appointee

Vince has worked in the nonprofit and government sectors for over 50 years to create and preserve affordable housing.  Initially consisting of grassroots civil rights and housing code enforcement work, his career evolved to focus on a combination of advocacy, policy development and implementation.  He has held senior positions with a variety of nonprofit housing owners and developers, community development financial institutions, governmental entities and others, to promote the preservation and development of affordable multifamily housing, focusing on HUD-assisted multifamily housing.  O’Donnell was Vice President of Preservation at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and prior to that was Director of Development at the Massachusetts Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation, a quasi-public technical assistance organization.  In addition to being a Commissioner with the NHA, he serves on several other public and private boards, is currently chair of the Commonwealth’s Affordable Housing Preservation Advisory Committee and is Senior Advisor to Preservation of Affordable Housing, Inc. (POAH), a multi-state nonprofit preservation-oriented developer. When not working at his day job, Vince is an active country dance fiddler.

 

Donald Siegel

Vice-Chair – Mayor’s Appointee

Don has been a Newton resident for over fifty (50) years. His three children were all educated in the Newton Public Schools. A native of the rural Midwest, he attended the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and Harvard Law School. A veteran, Don practiced labor law and represented unions and workers during his fifty (50) years of private practice in Boston. He is currently a labor mediator and principal in Labor Dispute Resolution Services, LLP. Mr. Siegel serves as the labor representative on the Board. He is the recipient of awards from the Archdiocese of Boston and Massachusetts AFL CIO recognizing his contributions to the advancement of labor justice.

 

Judith Weber

Treasurer – Governor’s Appointee

Judy became the NHA’s governor’s appointee in February 2020 and the NHA’s appointee to the Newton Community Preservation Committee in January 2021.   Judy is a long-time resident of Newton Corner with over forty years in property and asset management – first as a practitioner and currently as a national consultant with VIVA Consulting, a firm she co-founded in 2002.  She specializes in affordable rental housing research, organizational design and capacity building services for not-for-profit, governmental and for-profit organizations as well as property and asset management curriculum development and teaching. She is also Vice President of Newton Community Development Foundation (NCDF).

 

Mary Corrigan

Commissioner - Resident Member

Mary serves as the tenant appointee to the Board of Commissioners.
